To ensure that its thinking is relevant and its initiatives are effective, and thus to fulfil its ambition of contributing to a better consideration of the social dimension of the globalization process, the ISO has always sought to get a foothold in the local social realities of the various continents.
The principal mission, therefore, of our Regional Delegations is to ensure that the International Social Observatory operates in direct contact with the diverse economic, political, social and cultural conditions of their regions.
This mission has found specific expression in:
The organization of a network of local players (economic, social, political, university and associative) enabling the pursuit of on-site studies and ISO initiatives
Eliciting the particular expectations of each region
Proposing to the ISO bureau initiatives and possible local partnerships to respond to the expectations that emerge
Enriching the studies promoted by the ISO bureau by drawing on the specific cultural aspects of the various regions.
