Since its inception, the ISO has maintained links with European players belonging to the network woven over the years among the European authorities, particularly the European Commission and the European Parliament.

The ISO has organized several Symposia and Encounters that have involved the participation and presentations by European corporate managers or European Trade Union Confederation leaders.

On June 30, 2010, in partnership with Réalités du Dialogue Social (RDS), the ISO organized an initiative on the theme “The Social Dimension in Europe, a strategic factor for a sustainable recovery from the economic crisis”.

Led by Frédéric Turlan, Editor-in-Chief of Liaisons Sociales Europe, the round table brought together:

  • a representative of the Chairman of the European Economic and Social Committee; Xavier Verboven, of the General Belgian Labour Federation;
  • Carlo Parietti, President of Eurocadres;
  • Philippe Vivien, Executive Vice-President of Human Resources, at Areva;
  • Dana Stechova, Head of the International Department of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions.

Liaisons Sociales Europe published the discussion paper that has served as the basis of this round table, as well as a report on the debate.
